Breaking news: Sacramento City College on lockdown after fatal shooting

Sacramento City College is on lockdown following a fatal shooting that occurred near the baseball field just before 4 p.m. on Thursday.

One male was pronounced dead on the scene, while a second male victim was transported to the hospital with major injuries. A third victim with minor injuries did not require treatment, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

The suspect is described as a male Pacific islander wearing no shirt and cargo shorts. Officers were last searching near the 3800 block of Freeport Boulevard.
