I for one am not offended or bothered by anything said by either of these men. Bruce Pomer said “It’s almost like he (Hylton) is using what’s going on in Israel to justify the Holocaust,” said Pomer. Bruce Pomer, what Hylton said comes nowhere near such a bold claim, and the fact that you make such an accusation is far more offensive than anything said by these two. So what if these young men are conspiracy theorist/skeptics toward our politicians and history books! Questioning your government is your responsibility. Sometimes uncovering the truth hurts, get over it!

Sadly, our Student Senate is now known for drug abuse, ignorance, and irresponsibility.

It’s time to recall both Hylton and Weaver.

No one was taking a side.
HOWEVER… Don’t you think that perhaps our student leaders should have a modicum of self restraint? It seems to me that he (our ASB president) has been rewarded for bad behavior, not punished.
    And now this.
He is trying to defend something that is historically inaccurate, by pointing to something that, while appalling, has nothing to do with the historical inaccuracies that he is trying to defend.
Perhaps some history classes are in order, along with some political science classes.

These two seem to be pretty much ignorant dirt bags, but if you want to report news you should at least try to show some journalistic integrity and be unbiased. The current conflict in the West Bank has no bearing on the facts of the Holocaust. Likewise(though much more trivial) this President’s former censure for drugs has no bearing on this issue. You see, when you take a side and obviously set out to smear someone, you lose credibility, and that does nothing but hurt you. You become propaganda.

David Hylton is simply a racist who should not be representing the students of American River college (the same goes for Weaver in regards to being a student trustee). During the past week a Palestinian killed parents in front of their 4 children (http://www.timesofisrael.com/two-seriously-wounded-in-west-bank-terror-attack/) and this weekend a Palestinian man kills two Israelis and injures others (http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/10/04/palestinian-man-kills-2-israelis-injures-toddler-in-jerusalem-stabbing/). Moreover, his reference to Roma people as gypsies is disgusting. I hope the students at American River College can voice their concerns about Weaver and Hylton! It is time to stand up against ignorance and racism.
