The American River College Athletic department will host a crab feed on Feb. 18 at 5 p.m. in the Student Center to raise money that will benefit student-athletes.

Tickets will be $70 per person or $420 for a table of six. Attendees must be 18 years of age or older.

Entertainment will include music by DJ McFly and a performance by the Garrett Perkins Project.

For dinner, there will be crab, clam chowder, pasta, garlic bread and salad. Look out for some cool prizes from In-N-Out, Sacramento Republic FC and many more.

Steve Roberson, dean of kinesiology and athletics, says he hopes to have athletic alumni attend to reconnect and support current student-athletes.

“I wanted to have an event in which the community can come out and have an exciting, fun and relaxing time while supporting American River College student-athletes,” Roberson said. “A crab feed provides that type of atmosphere.”

This year marks the first ARC Athletic Alumni Association Crab Feed, however Roberson believes it will become an annual event.

“The money raised will help benefit student-athletes as it assists with off-setting the costs to provide a high quality experience both on and off the field for our student-athletes,” Roberson said.

Tickets can be purchased on the ARC athletics website
