ASB passes bylaws.

ASB+passes+bylaws.

The American River College Associated Student Body passed bylaws at the ASB meeting today. Sam Elliot and Laurie Jones voted for the bylaws, Timothy Lipuma voted against and Jeremy Diefenbacher abstained from the vote.

Confusion followed for a moment as the ASB members and adviser looked through the ASB senate constitution to see if the vote passed. After speculation by the board that the bylaws may not have been approved Kenneth Henton from the general public stated that abstentions counted for the majority.

The whole room sighed with relief.

Acting President Jorge Riley reassured the public that “as soon as we pass the bylaws we will make a bylaws committee” to approve the changes still needed.
