On Wednesday, offensive chalk graffiti was discovered on sidewalks adjacent to the American River College campus, according to an email sent to ARC colleagues.
“Early this morning, chalk messaging that may be offensive to some of our community was discovered on the sidewalks adjacent to the main campus,” public information officer Kaitlyn Collignon said in an email to the Current, “We have been documenting and cleaning the stretch of the sidewalk.”
Those responsible for the messages have not been identified along with the groups targeted.
The messages have since been cleaned and never reached the campus itself, according to Collignon.
