During its meeting on Sept. 23, the American River College Associated Student Body unanimously approved Bill F22-05. With this bill, ASB allocated up to $10,000 in funding to support the collaboration between ASB and the ARC athletic department.

Brett Sawyer, ASB advisor, also announced that Nicole Nuget resigned from the position of ASB president and that they are working on finding who is going to replace her position.

“I just want to thank Nicole for all she did while she was here,” Sawyer said.

Sawyer also discussed the success of the Club Ruch event, which took place on Sept. 20 at ARC.

“It was a good turn out, in terms of clubs and people coming up and checking what was going on,” Sawyer said. “[We] still need the data of how many students came out there.”

Another bill that was passed was AB 361, which permits ASB to conduct virtual meetings when the Governor declares a state of emergency under specific circumstances. In this way, they can safeguard their privacy.

The next ASB meeting will occur on Oct. 7.
