After eight years at American River College, ARC President Dr. David Viar has accepted the position of superintendent of the Glendale Community College District, effective July 1, 2013.

During his tenure as president, Viar has overseen $150 million in renovations, and saw an average of 50,000 students each year attend ARC.

Glendale Community College has served the Glendale area for 85 years, and boasts a 59-acre campus.

Viar reassures he will not forget ARC.

“ARC red, white, and blue will still course metaphorically through my veins; I will still shout, ‘Go Beavers,’ in my sleep,” said Viar.
