How do you feel about the Kings finally making the playoffs?

        Heather Amberson and Kaitlyn Riley|April 8, 2023

“I wasn’t really a Kings fan, but I’ve been watching them lately and I went to a couple games and now I am actually happy about it. [The atmosphere at the arena] is really cool, people are jumping around, screaming and yelling. If I get to go to [a game] I am going to go crazy.” - Azariah Gautier | Undecided Major

“I believe the Dodgers will win because they bleed blue. I was the best player until they kicked me off, but now it’s Ohtani. I think the Dodgers will sweep the [Seattle] Mariners in the series.”
Alfred Solis | Math and Statistics Tutor
Campus Pulse: Who do you think will win the World Series?
“I’m not too nervous, this happens very often with the government. The issue is we did have, like, 250 congressmen in Israel this past month, and a lot of them aren’t back, and there is an announcement by some congressmen right now for people to come back, we have like 10 hours. So I’m not super nervous knowing the history of this country with the government shut down, but it’s very unprecedented right now. I know that thousands of federal workers right now have their last day because of the fork or ultimatum that Trump gave them. So nervous, but not too nervous, that’s how I put it.” Shazil Mahmood | Electrical Engineering
Campus Pulse: Are you nervous about the Government shutdown?
“We are seeing an increase in the limiting of Freedom of Speech. With the current events happening with the Stephen Colbert Show and the propaganda that’s being spread through Google after it signed the $45 million deal with Israel, it’s definitely gonna impact us negatively. We are currently seeing this trend of increasing right-wing propaganda, overshadowing any media coverage of the other side. I’m very concerned because I feel like we are going to end up at a point where anything can be labeled as hate speech.” Adreas Quezada | Mechanical Engineering
Campus Pulse: How do you feel about the government’s current role in media oversight?
“I love fall, It’s my favorite season, [I love] the fall fits. It’s way better than summer in my opinion, and it’s also close to my birthday. Me and my siblings, we always go downtown. It's really aesthetic.
Erica Yessaian | Nursing
Campus Pulse: Why Do You Love Fall?
The way I see it is, this is a public campus, and the people coming in who can be seen as controversial have every right to try to talk about what they want to talk about.
However, to the extent that they are not soliciting the people on campus.
They shouldn’t be excessively preaching or going around and handing people pamphlets, it should be more of a case where the students walk up to them and talk about what they’re about through actual conversation regardless of what side of the spectrum they are on.
