This is your Beaver Wire News Update for February 6, 2026 where we cover the events of American River College.

A January 3 meeting of the American River College Associated Student Body saw the appointment of three senators to assist the Faculty Hiring Committee in hiring for the 28 open positions at ARC. The meeting also saw the Muslim Student Association secure funding for ARC’s 3rd Annual Iftar event being held in the ARC Student Center.

The American River College Academic Senate met on January 29 to discuss hiring for critical positions, a new Distance Education Plan for ARC, and proposed changes to the two year CTE course review program.
