As part of its ongoing direction, American River College is reaching out to its community for a chance to help shape the future of the campus. The ARC Master Plan is a 10-year vision plan for the college that is now being updated since the last modifications of the 2019 Master Plan. In order to craft this new outline for the future of the campus, they are looking towards students, faculty and other campus community members to share their opinions through a survey. The 10-15 minute survey is being promoted on ARC News Today’s social media on Instagram. The link is promoted through the bio of this Instagram page with a deadline of Sept. 3 for students to share their voices on the topic.
When accessing the link to the questionnaire, there is an additional overview provided emphasizing the goals of the Master Plan.
“This is an opportunity to plan spaces which support the vision for teaching, learning and strengthening community connections,” reads the survey introduction.
Once the survey is closed next week, there will be a follow-up event on Sept. 5 to continue the conversation. From noon to 1 p.m. in the Community Room, students can take part in the presentation of the Final Draft Master Plan, where the ARC social media encourages participation.
“[S]ee what’s planned, ask questions, and share your ideas,” the post reads.
