As of the start of the spring 2023 semester, American River College has a new public information officer, Kaitlyn Collignon.

Collignon has been with the Los Rios Community College District for about five-and-a-half years. She is replacing Scott Crow who left in January.

In an email to the Current, Collignon said she was previously the communication and public information officer at Sacramento City College since July 2017.

“I’m currently the interim public information officer at ARC, [I am] enjoying the opportunity to work with my ARC colleagues, students and community,” Collignon said.

It’s not her first experience with ARC: Collignon took a kickboxing class at the college as an advanced education student while attending high school at Del Campo High School.

She continues enjoying being active: playing indoor soccer, hiking or spending time with her husband and one year old daughter.

After nearly 20 years with the LRCCD, Crow has taken a position as the information officer for the California Department of Veterans Affairs.
