American River College started construction on its Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) building in 2018. Now, after nearly two years, construction crews completed the building in August, according to Michael Klingman, Flint Project Manager. Klingman adds that there are still fill adjustments that need to be made on the inside of the building. “We’re still working through the punch and commissioning items,” Kingman said. The facility was scheduled to open at the start of the fall semester, but with all the COVID-19 setbacks, the opening of the new STEM building has been postponed until further notice.
