With how fast news moves these days it can be difficult to keep up with what’s going on around campus. The Current’s new bi-weekly newsletter covers all manner of subjects from upcoming campus events, recently released articles and The Current’s podcast about ARC athletics, “Beaver Wire Podcast.”

The newsletter also showcases photos taken by The Current, ranging from theatre performances to sports events to general campus life. 

The newsletter is published bi-weekly, during the second and fourth weeks of every month. The Current sent out its first newsletter on Feb. 25, 2025, and is written and managed by Khushi Salgia. 

“The expectations for the newsletter is to bring more traffic to the website and keep students up to date on what’s going on around campus,” Salgia said.

Salgia is in her second semester at The Current and also is the editor for the features section of the publication.

When Salgia leaves The Current, she hopes the newsletter will continue on.

“I hope whoever takes over next is going to find ways to keep students engaged and maybe students will email in what they’d like to see added to the newsletter,” Salgia said.

As of writing, The Current has released its fifth newsletter which can be accessed here. From that same link users can sign up to the mailing list to receive more news from The Current.
